Informal-Upright Style
A Zelova makino grown in the informal upright style. This massive bonsai is 27.5 inches: a very powerful looking tree indeed, yet the huge trunk and heavy buttress roots contrast sharply with very fine branches and twigs.Surprisingly, the tree probably between 50 and 60 year old, which is relatively young by traditional bonsai standard. So it is best grown under shading.
