Annual
Complete life cycle (germination through fruiting) in one year or less.
Example: grasses, crops, flowers.
Biennial
Complete life cycle in two year (First year = vegetative, and second year
reproductive). Some need a cold winter period to initiate flowering from
vegetative state.
Perennial
Live year after year, do not die after reproduction.
Example: Tree, Shrubs, some grasses.
